The Crowne Plaza Queenstown enjoys an excellent, central location, right on the Steamer Wharf and within walking distance of shops and restaurants, making it easy to explore Queenstown. Many guests appreciate the lake view rooms with stunning views of the Remarkables from their balconies. The spacious rooms are generally quiet despite the location, although some guests have noted that the bathrooms feature a bathtub with a shower curtain. The hotel offers valet parking, which is especially valuable given the limited parking in Queenstown.

blocked viewpaper thin walls
the mountain view balcony room I booked had a massive tree blocking the view it was down the back of the hotel not what I expected for the price I paid. chasing staff for compensation while I was supposed to be relaxing was stressful and unacceptable. the place was very run down and the walls were paper thin I could hear everything in the rooms next to mine. the mattress was too firm I woke up in pain.

The room felt dated with dim lighting! the shower head was too low. I had to bend over to wash my hair. The roadworks outside were disruptive. Concrete saws ran all day and pumps operated all night. there was no prior notice or mitigation for this issue? staff seemed dismissive about the noise complaints.

the location met my expectations, as it provided easy access to many attractions.
the air conditioning unit was substandard. despite my complaints to the hotel manager and maintenance staff, the issue remained unresolved. i was informed that the building's age affected the system, rendering it ineffective.
